Release Notes for Intelligent Tagging R13.6

(This release is not relevant to Intelligent Tagging On Premise.)

What's New?

For detailed information about all Intelligent Tagging features, see the API User Guide.

This release of Intelligent Tagging provides the following new features and enhancements:

  • Improvements to Topic Classification - Classification topics trained for specific (not standard) use cases are now disabled by default, reducing noise in the topic classification output.
  • New RCS topic classifiers: Extend the reach of your application with the new RCS topic classifiers.

  • Soon-to-be-mandatory "x-calais-selectiveTags" header

The capabilities enabled by the x-calais-selectiveTags header have been greatly expanded as of R13.3. The header now supports a comprehensive list of values encompassing all Intelligent Tagging entities, relationships, and classification options.

When you use this header to define the custom set of metadata types relevant to your use case, the API response include only the specified metadata and nothing else.

In the future, this header will be mandatory. The deadline will be published well in advance. We encourage you to implement and test the new workflow now, before the header becomes mandatory.
